Vogel is an associate professor of animal and food science at UW–River Falls. His research interests include food animal behavior and welfare, ethics of animal use, and the impact of management strategies on animal welfare, physiology, and product quality. He is also the head of the Animal Welfare Lab.
Vogel’s project will replace and improve the Network Video Recording (NVR) system at the Dairy Learning Center at UW–River Falls. Phase 1, the most critical, will include a data center, computers and monitors for video system display and use, and cameras for the calf barn and special needs areas of the Dairy Learning Center complex.
