Building capacity for dairy nutrition – Equipment to measure in-vitro digestibility and rumen gas production

PI: Pete Lammers

Phone

Lammers is an associate professor of animal and dairy science at UW–Platteville. His research interests include novel feedstuffs for livestock, production of livestock for niche markets, and integrated crop and livestock production systems.

Lammer’s project will utilize an ANKOM Daisy Incubator System, an ANKOM RF Gas Production System, and a small-scale feed grinder to increase animal nutrition research capacity at UW–Platteville. These pieces of equipment will measure in-vitro digestibility and rumen gas production.
