Expanding calf housing options into underutilized UW animal research facilities
PI: Jessica Cederquist

Cederquist is the herd operations administrator for animal and dairy sciences at UW–Madison. Cederquist coordinates and ensures compliance for all research and teaching activities across UW’s three dairy research facilities.
Cederquist’s project will utilize 72 new Calf-Tel Individual Calf Pens to establish a calf rearing facility in underutilized space at Arlington Ag Research Station. The addition of these Calf-Tel Pens will open up doors for expanded and very well managed calf studies, along with providing increased flexibility through group housing options to conduct research of all types and designs.
