Purchase of a no-till drill to enhance dairy conservation cropping system research at Peninsular Agriculture Research Station

PI: Rebecca Wiepz

Wiepz is the superintendent of UW–Madison’s Peninsular Agricultural Research Station (PARS). At PARS, she works to address the Door Peninsula’s unique nutrient management challenges and oversees the robust orchard fruit program.

Wiepz’s project will use a new, 10-foot no-till drill to expand Peninsular Agriculture Research Station’s capacity to collaborate on dairy-focused conservation cropping system research. Innovative crop rotation alterations and/or enhancements are essential to minimizing agricultural system impacts to the local environment and local communities.
