Ozturk is an assistant professor of food science at UW–Madison who specializes in dairy food science. Her position is funded entirely by the Dairy Innovation Hub.

Ozturk’s project will utilize a new small-batch multipurpose membrane filtration unit to advance research on the isolation of milk bioactive compounds. A membrane-based separation is an important tool for fractionating components from milk, dairy, foods, biological samples, and microbes.
