
The Dairy Symposium showcases the Hub’s most advanced research and is formatted for an academic audience. Admission is free.
Join us May 12, 2026 at the UW–Madison Memorial Union for the fifth annual event!
Interested in speaking, giving a flash talk, or hosting a poster? Apply by March 6!
We invite proposals for the following opportunities:
- Priority area breakout session – 20-30-minute research talk + Q/A
- Poster – Poster competition + Ongoing poster session throughout the day, four $250 winners
- Flash talk + poster (students and trainees only) – 3-minute research flash talk plus an accompanying poster. Flash talks use the MAIN STAGE, are recorded, and judged! Winner receives a $1,000 travel grant.
We welcome proposals from Hub-funded researchers, trainees, and students around a broad range of topics related the Hub’s four priority areas. Preference will be given to research directly funded by the Hub, but other relevant proposals will be considered. Please contact us with questions.

- 8:00 am – Registration, posters, and continental breakfast
- 8:45 am – Welcome and Morning plenary session
- 10:00 am – Priority area track sessions
- 12:00 pm – Lunch, posters, and networking
- 1:00 pm – Priority area track sessions
- 3:00 pm – Closing panel
- 4:00 pm – Flash talks (on the main stage), posters and cocktail reception
- 5:30 pm – Adjourn
