Dairy Innovation Hub
The Hub takes research on the road
This winter, the Dairy Innovation Hub has been busy sharing research outcomes with farmers, elected leaders, and members of the public.
In January, the Hub held its annual Research Poster Session at the Wisconsin State Capitol. A great audience of legislators, their staff, the public, and farmers engaged with 14 research posters and their presenters during the three-hour event. Both Hub-funded faculty and students were present from UW–Madison, UW–River Falls, and UW–Platteville.
The Hub then traveled to Wisconsin Dells for the Professional Dairy Producers Business Conference Mar. 13-14. In addition to a trade show presence, PDP invited the Hub to display over 30 research posters in the Nexus Innovation Lane area. This space was dedicated to inventors, creators, and idea-generators sharing their most novel work. In addition to posters, the PDP Preview Stage featured presentations on Hub-funded projects focused on water quality, cover crops, and methane emissions.
