Pioneer Sweets is a student-managed ice cream business at UW–Platteville and this holiday season, they decided to sweeten things up by creating their own ice cream advent calendars. These 25-day advent calendars contained 25 different flavors — with each flavor sporting a unique holiday-themed name.

Some of the flavors are Pioneer Sweets staples re-named, such as “Coal for Christmas” instead of the classic “Cookies N Creme”, but students got creative with ingredients to make exclusive advent calendar flavors. For example, “Oh Christmas Tree” uses pine extract and “You’re a Mean One” uses sour apple syrup. A full list of the advent calendar flavors (and ingredients) can be found here.

The advent calendars were available for pre-order for $35 and all 70 boxes sold out! While some of the flavors were are calendar exclusive, you can order certain holiday flavors (eggnog, hot chocolate, peppermint stick, gingerbread) for your own enjoyment using Pioneer Sweets online order form.
