Dairy Innovation Hub team grows by three
The Dairy Innovation Hub recently hired three new team members to fulfill administration and communication duties.

Elisabeth Berndt joined the Hub as an administrative specialist in April. In her position, Berndt contributes to broad program, project, and finance activities for the Hub. She manages project award processes and assists with supporting the Hub’s financial objectives and initiatives at UW–Madison, UW–River Falls, and UW–Platteville.
Berndt earned her master’s degree in sport & recreation studies with an emphasis in marketing & external affairs from South Dakota State University. Following graduation, she moved to Madison and worked a variety of administrative and financial positions at UW-Madison before joining the Hub. Her office is 282 Animal Science.

Jori Skalitzky joined the Hub as a communications specialist in May. In this role, Skalitzky manages the Hub’s social media presence, writes press releases and articles, and assists with the Hub’s quarterly newsletter. She writes, edits, and publishes content to align with the Hub’s strategic communication goals.
Skalitzky earned her bachelor’s degree in life sciences communication and environmental sciences with a certificate in digital studies from UW–Madison this past May. Her communications specialist position is shared between the Hub and CALS External Relations and is her first full-time position with UW–Madison. Skalitzky’s office is 287 Animal Science.

Destiny Ingram joined the Hub as a student communications intern during the school year, but has taken on an expanded role for the summer. As an intern, Ingram works with the Hub’s program manager and communications specialist to develop social media content, write news releases and articles, and assists with the Hub’s quarterly newsletter. She also provides support for events, such as the Dairy Summit, and conferences.
Ingram is currently a senior at UW–Madison double majoring in communications and health promotion and health equity. She is using this internship as a learning experience in business and media concepts, while simultaneously honing her communication skills.
